Reviving a Legacy:

CB Hannigan’s & Campo Di Bocce’s First St. Patrick’s Day Bash

As a multimedia designer in the Bay Area, I’ve had the privilege of working on incredible projects that bring people together. From video production to web and graphic design, my goal has always been to create visual experiences that tell a story. But some events go beyond just great design—they become part of history.

That’s exactly what happened with the first-ever CB Hannigan’s and Campo Di Bocce St. Patrick’s Day Celebration—an event that marked the revival of a legendary tradition.

The Legacy of CB Hannigan’s

CB Hannigan’s was known for throwing the most epic St. Patrick’s Day party in the South Bay for years. They ran a beloved brewpub in Las Gatos, drawing crowds with great beer, live music, and an electric atmosphere. But after closing a few years ago, the St. Paddy’s Day magic was lost—until now.

This year, CB Hannigan’s teamed up with Ben Musolf and the team at Campo di Bocce to bring back the ultimate Irish celebration. The result? A sold-out event with 1,500 attendees at $100 a ticket, featuring:

  • All-you-can-eat phenomenal Irish food – see the video, I’m not joking 🙂
  • Five live bands keeping the energy high with traditional Irish Music
  • Nine Beer and Liquor Stations – Two outdoor liquor bars, one outdoor beer bar, one indoor beer bar, one indoor liquor bar, two patio liquor stations, and two patio beer stations, plus the main bar.

  • Excellent games like the Longest Putt, with half the pot going to charity – people were really loving this one.
  • A special guest appearance by the legendary Krazy George and Steve Mariucci

This was a St. Patrick’s Day party for the books, and I was honored to be a part of it.

Bringing the Vision to Life

From the beginning, I was all in—helping to build the event’s visual identity and ensuring every detail was on point. MyMediaDesigner designed:

  • The official event logo, along with a new logo for Bodacious BBQ
  • Custom physical ticket design and printed tickets that captured the spirit of the event
  • Sponsorship packets, promotional PDF to secure key partners, and promote the event
  • Custom posters and banners, along with all social media posts for the event and for sponsors
  • Large-scale 8ft x 4ft Sponsor banners recognizing those who made it possible
  • Helped run the Longest Putt with Eddie Scott, official PGA Certified instructor from The Clubhouse of Fremont, who sponsored the Longest Putt game.

Capturing the Experience

Beyond design, I spent the entire day of the event filming, photographing, and documenting this historic event. The result?

  • A 5-minute event recap video showcasing the energy and excitement of the day
  • A 1-minute teaser video to capture the essence of St. Patrick’s Day at Campo Di Bocce
  • A master collection of photos for promotional material for next years event

Looking Ahead to Next Year

Being part of this event was an absolute honor, and I can’t wait to do it again next year. Seeing CB Hannigan’s and Campo Di Bocce bring this tradition back to life was inspiring, and I’m proud to have contributed through design, branding, photography, video, and beer.
